Catch a gig at FROST, part of Copenhagen’s Wondercool festival.
Turn the ‘culture’ dial up to 11: Copenhagen will buzz with a jam-packed line up of more than 200 musical, gastronomic, artistic and architectural events during the city’s ‘Wondercool’ culture month this February.
‘Copenhagen Cooking’, one of the biggest food festivals in northern Europe, is a delicious highlight of Wondercool. The unique ‘Taste of Emotions’ event mixes culinary artistry with video art in an experimental dining event at Nikolaj kunsthal, Copenhagen’s third oldest church. You can expect to see video art that will provoke and expand your culinary experience. Another highlight is the Gastro Cruise. Every Saturday throughout February, you can join a cruise in the canal tour boats in Copenhagen harbour. The boat will drop you off at six different restaurants, such as Søren K or Lumskebugten, to taste signature dishes with mussels.
Two well-established music festivals – ‘FROST’ and the Winter Jazz Festival – are also part of Wondercool. FROST presents a wide range of high quality acts in unusual venues, including Danish King Christian IV’s Brewery – one of the most beautiful buildings in Copenhagen. At the same time, the Winter Jazz Festival will offer concerts with both upcoming and established jazz musicians.
Design, Scenography And Gastronomy
Wondercool is also presenting a selection of cross-cultural events. Danish textile designer Margrethe Odgaard will be creating a dining experience that blends design, scenography and gastronomy at the Designmuseum Danmark.
