Jane Labowitch sees the world differently than the rest of us.

While we record our travel memories into notebooks or frame a shot through a viewfinder, the 24-year-old Labowitch sits, patiently sketching. But it's not a pencil she's illustrating with; it's an Etch-a-Sketch. Yes, the original handheld tablet.

Maybe you remember the Etch-a-Sketch as I do: the 'toy' you started playing with, artistic intentions soaring, only to abandon it minutes later, violently shaking your pathetically illegible picture into oblivion. It's Labowitch's attention span - where others falter - and commitment to detail that makes her creations so impressive. Her most detailed illustration took a painstaking 20 hours to complete.

Labowitch recently travelled to India on Intrepid's Golden Triangle itinerary. Of course she brought a pocket-size Etch-a-Sketch with her. Here is her trip to New Delhi, Jaipur and Agra, as told through her delicate sketches:

Fun fact: Small pieces can take Jane half an hour or less to complete on the pocket (small) size Etch-a-Sketch.

Says Labowitch: "Working on this series gives me a deeper appreciation for the architectural wonders in India."

Fun fact: This sketch took Jane over 10 hours to etch. In comparison, it took 22 years for the Taj Mahal to be built.
