We chose this headband to evoke a laurel wreath. Worn as chaplets around the head, they trace back to Greek mythology. A symbol of triumph, Apollo wore a laurel wreath, as did ancient poets, and they were awarded to Olympic victors. Fun fact: The expression “resting on one’s laurels” refers to someone relying entirely on long-past achievements for continued success.
