As summer approaches, so does the promise of sunshine-drenched pool time. At The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, guests will find luxurious suites, multiple pools for sunbathing, and a spectacular array of restaurants.  Featuring world-class eateries and equally famous chefs, The Cosmopolitan is just the spot to indulge in fine dining and cultural sensibilities. The Pool District is known for offering the best view of the Las Vegas Strip, while providing unparalleled entertainment both day and night. So whether you’re a local in the need of a staycation or a traveller dreaming of a mid-summer weekend vacay, here are seven reasons to choose The Cosmopolitan as your home away from home:

Pools…take your pick!

header imageSometimes there is nothing better than being spoilt for choice. At The Cosmopolitan, guests have a choice of three pool areas each with their own distinct vibe.

The Pool District offers everything from serene spa treatments to non-stop pool parties hosted by some of the world’s most famous DJs. The Boulevard Pool overlooks the heart of The Las Vegas Strip offering panoramic views in all directions. The mood is lively, featuring yacht-club polish with a surf lodge appeal. Guests are invited to mix and mingle amidst the energetic social scene. The Chelsea Pool offers a serene environment with an extensive list of poolside spa treatments, so guests can leave saying Namaste. To top off an afternoon in a serene setting, indulge in the organic food options and a light, Dole whip pineapple cocktail. (And you thought you could only get Dole whips at Disneyland!)

Visit Marquee Dayclub to take in the complete Las Vegas pool party experience. The Dayclub Pool is an exclusive adult oasis by day and an extension of Marquee Nightclub in the evening. Here, guests can experience a vibrant beach club scene while enjoying individual infinity pools, two island bars, and world-renowned DJs on this spectacular rooftop pool deck.

Cinema under the stars: “Dive In Movies”

The Boulevard pool offers a vibrant day and night scene, but it’s perhaps best known for its “Dive In Movies.”

From May to the first week of September, each week The Cosmopolitan turns the resort’s 65-foot digital marquee into a movie screen, welcoming visitors to sprawl out on a pool lounger at dusk, while enjoying specialty cocktails and classic movie treats. Hotel guests receive complimentary access, but visitors from other resorts are welcome to join in the fun for $7.

Revisit cult-favourite classics, like Grease on July 29and Ferris Bueller’s Day Off on August 26, or revel in blockbuster hits, like A Star is Born on July 8 and Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle on the closing weekend of September 2.

Cabana packages: snag some winks

Cabana packages

The only thing better than lounging poolside is lounging poolside in a private cabana.

Overlooking the heart of the Strip, the cabanas at The Cosmopolitan offer unrivalled service with a dedicated server, a fully stocked fridge for libations, and fresh fruit served throughout the day. (After a late Las Vegas night your body will thank you for those extra vitamins.)

For pool-goers looking for something a little more low-key, daybeds are also available to be reserved, so you can show up and not have to worry about a thing. With luxurious cushions, pristine pressed towels and an umbrella, you’ll find yourself unwinding in no time.

From fine dining to fast casual, the Restaurant Collection satisfies every craving

cosmopolitan

The Cosmopolitan is known for reinventing the Las Vegas resort food scene (we’re eternally grateful!) and continues to surprise and delight peckish guests.

While most hotels offer up an option or two for feasting, The Cosmopolitan features more than 25 different dining spots to satisfy whatever late-night craving guests have.

Home to world-class renowned restaurant collections, such as Momofuku and Jaleo bring flavour and fame to the hotel, while Beauty & Essex brings Chris Santos’ Las Vegas vision to life. Late-night bar hoppers will delight in NYC’s Ghost Donkey: Mezcal & Tequila Bar, featuring a complex menu of flavourful and unique ingredients added to Mexican classics. Those in search of dinner and a show should saddle up to Rose. Rabbit. Lie., where gourmet American bites are served alongside live entertainment. Their signature dish: caviar tacos, named the “Best Small Plate” by Vegas Seven.  This innovative dish is made with hackleback caviar, a Yukon gold potato shell and Hamachi. For a truly upscale experience, STK is a celebrity hotspot with a lively bar scene and in-house DJ for a new take on the American steakhouse.
