A bed of leafy greens topped with hard boiled eggs and slivered scallions, fresh made cheese and a drizzle of chef-whisked dressing. Creamy clam chowder soup, a juicy, tender cut of steak, and a Malibu martini nightcap. Decadent oatmeal and brown sugar-crusted Granny Smith apple pie, topped with a dollop of mascarpone cream.

Atlantic City Restaurant Week

March 5-10

While the city itself is mouthwatering year-round, travellers serious about satisfying their taste buds will want to plan their visit around the ninth annual Atlantic City Restaurant Week

For six succulent days in March, chefs at more than 70 restaurants across Atlantic City will serve up local flavours on special set menus. Get spicy with Asian fusion; tease your palette with international wines and craft beers; and indulge your sweet tooth with flaky pastries, thick cakes and, of course, decadent chocolate. Whether you want to be transported to a steaming noodle house in China or to an authentic British Pub to quell your hankering for bangers and mash, the world is in Atlantic City—and you can eat your way around it.

The best part? All of these incredible meals are laughably affordable. Participating restaurants (a list can be found here) offer a three-course lunch for $15.17 and a three-course dinner for $35.17 per person, not including taxes, gratuity or beverages. Note: some restaurants only offer lunch or dinner, not both.

Insider Tips:

Book EARLY:
Doreen Prinzo, the manager of the marketing team, says of the event, “Customers love Restaurant Week! The only complaint we hear is ‘the restaurant we wanted was booked out.’ Our suggestion is to always book early, so you can get into the restaurant you want.” This is sound advice, considering the unbelievably low prices. Did we mention it includes an appetizer, entrée and dessert?

Preview the event at this fundraiser:
Atlantic City Restaurant Week kicks off with a preview charity fundraiser at the end of February. Proceeds from the ticket sales support local culinary student scholarships and the Atlantic City Food Bank. There are 300 tickets for the event and 15 participating restaurants that dole out samples to preview their event menus and ramp up excitement for the main event. (Think of it as an event appetizer!) Just like the restaurant bookings, these tickets tend to sell out quickly.

Score a great deal on accommodation:
During Atlantic City Restaurant Week, many area hotels and sponsors offer discounts to travellers. To best take advantage of the specials on offer, book a group trip. Keep an eye on ACRestaurantWeek.com to snag packages, promotions and value-added offers. In the meantime, round up your foodie friends and set aside March 5th – 10th for a culinary adventure to Atlantic City!
