Ever since a friend told me about going to Aruba for his honeymoon, it has been high on my list of places to go. It’s a beautiful little island in the southern Caribbean with amazing weather and a ton of great things to do while you’re there. Not only are there plenty of water activities and miles of relaxing beaches, but you can also find amazing things to do when the sun goes down.

Bar - ArubaAruba TourismActually, the best thing to do is watch the sun set from one of the many beach bars. Find a quiet, local hangout or join the party at a place like Bugaloe Beach Bar & Grill which has live music six days a week. Don’t like tonight’s band? CNN Go selected nearby MooMba Beach as one of the world’s top beach bars. Stop in at any bar to discover cover bands, DJs and even Karaoke. Heck, there’s so much going on along the Palm Beach Strip that you could have an evening stroll in the moonlight and stop at the places that call to you that evening.

For even more variety, wander through downtown Oranjestad to find live jazz and Latin dancing at the Grand Café Tropical. Merengue, hot salsa and tasty rum drinks will let you party through the night at the Royal Plaza. Find a trendy martini bar to start the evening or enjoy the draft beer and live music at Café Chaos. Whatever mood you find yourself in that evening, you’ll find the club or café that has the music you want to hear.

SailingAruba TourismNot sure what you’d like to do? Why not try a “tour”? There are two different wheeled options: The Kukoo Kunuku bus will take you to some great pubs, while the Banana Bus hits the best dance spots for drinks and fun. Even cooler are the boat tours. Try the Jolly Pirates’ dinner cruise sail; you’ll enjoy an open bar with your pirate feast and a rope swing! The more relaxed Sunset Happy Hour Cruise on Mi Dushi also comes with complimentary drinks and tales of the sea told by the Crew.

With all of the fun happening on the west coast, any activity you might want to enjoy is just short hop away from wherever you are. Spend the day snorkeling on a cruise, then head back to the town to take advantage of the variety of nightlife opportunities waiting for you.
