The sprawling development site across from the Daytona International Speedway may not look like much now, but it is actually the humble beginning of something wonderful. The area is soon to be home to the very exciting ONE DAYTONA. This massive project only just broke ground late in 2014, but is well on its way to becoming a major attraction in Daytona Beach.

ONE DAYTONA is set to become a year-round complex filled with shopping, entertainment and accommodations. Although primly located next to one of Daytona Beach's major attractions, the idea of ONE DAYTONA is to be more than just a place for tourists. The project development lead wants it to be a true community where visitors can play, stay, work and even live. Residents are proud to have their city host a complex that is billed as a place to "see and be seen."

What exactly does the complex seek to house? The anchor of the complex will be the Victory Circle area, a high-energy entertainment area designed to be its most memorable feature. Plans include a grandiose display of racing memorabilia surrounded by shops, restaurants and a stunning man-made lake in the distance, with fountains spouting water into the sky. The entertainment complex will also house a full-service hotel, office space including NASCAR’s headquarters, residential, and retail space flanked by a Cobb movie theatre, all of which surrounded by landscaped natural areas for visitors to enjoy. The boulevard that is set to run through the complex and connect parking areas has already become prime real estate for the shops and restaurants that are set to line it. This brilliant new development combined with the Daytona Rising renovation project happening at the Daytona International Speedway and its close proximity to Florida's most famous beachfront are going to make this section of Daytona Beach more popular than ever.

Phase One of ONE DAYTONA is scheduled to open with premier shopping anchored by Bass Pro Shops®, Cobb Theatres’ ‘Daytona Theatre’, and an exclusive 145-room full-service boutique hotel. Additional areas of the development will take some time. The complex has many prospective tenants interested. The collection of buildings were designed by the prestigious Elkus Manfredi Architects that want to see the complex as both a shining beacon of development and a companion piece to the Daytona International Speedway itself. Areas like Victory Circle, which is more of a pavilion, and the NASCAR Headquarters are designed to practically glow in the Florida sunshine through the extensive use of glass. Other confirmed shop buildings will be catering their own designs around exteriors that extensively utilize white colouring and large windows. ONE DAYTONA, once fully up and running, will be a bevy of activity and a unique place enjoyed by residents and visitors for many years to come.
